Hello every one that is reading this and keeping up with our trip.
We leave on Mon about 3.pm and fly to KL and then onto Paris. We have the first day on our own in Paris and meet up with the tour group in the evening. We will upload pics when we can.
Hello all well we made it and have spent the day touring Paris and looking at the wonderful sites it does not get dark here until around 9.30 - 10.00pm.
John and Clint we have seen heaps of wings already and the motorcyclist are mad over here.
It is about 5.30pm here which makes it about 1.40am your time so we have not called anyone so hope you are checking this web page. We are also having some problems connecting to a mobile network so we will call soon.
Day 2 Paris - Rouen-caen
Today we go and see the old city of Rouen and view its cathedrals. Next we visit Honfleur and then we stop in the world famous seaside resort of Deaville. We over night in Caen
Day 3 Caen- Normandy Landing
Today we look around the Caen and vist the legendary beaches of Normandy where allied troops landed more then 60 years ago. The highligts are Arromanches, St Laurant and the American Cemetery at Omaha. Next, we journey to Bayeux, where the famous tapestry is located and then soutwards to the unique beauty of Mont St Michel, which stands on an island reached by a causeway, for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Mont St Michael - Angers - Tours
This morning we enjoyed a visit to Mont St Michel before departing mid morning to Angers to vist its cathedral, and then along the banks of the Loire to Tours for an overnight stay.
Day 5 Chateaux Country
Today was a leisure day to explore the country side and see some of the most spectacular castles of the Loire, steeped in the history of noblemen and kings since the 11th century. Gothic spires, medieval turrets, great fortresses and beautiful chateaux make for splendid panoramas.
Day 6 Tours - Poitiers - La Rochelle - Bordaux
Today we travel through Poitiers and then on to the picturesque town of La Rochelle, situated on the Atlantic Coast. We then continue on westwards into the world-famous Cognac region to visit a museum in Cognac. Tonight we are staying in Bordeaux.
Day 7 Bordeaux - Dorgogne - Rocamadour - Toulouse
We start the day with a tour of Bordeaux then drive into the heart of one of France's most scenic regions, the Dordogne. We have a stop in the dramactically located medieval town of Rocamadour perched high upon a cliff, and the head southwards by way of Cahors to Toulouse for an overnight stay.
Day 8 Toulouse - Avignon
Today we head to Carcassonne and then continue westwards to Nimes, an elegant city famed for its busy boulevards shaded by lotus trees. We get a view of the Maison Caree, one of the best-preserved Roman temples in the whole of France and stay overnight in Avignon.
Day 9 Avignon - Arles - Aix-en-Provence - Nice
We head south today to visit the Roman amphitheater in Arles, the most famous of all the Provence towns, known the world over by the paintings of Van Gogh. We have a stop in Aix-en-Provence to see its main street, the Cours Mirabeau, lined with plane trees, and its 17th-century palace, houses and fountains. Finally to the French Riviera on the shores of the Mediterranean.

Day 11 French Riviera - Grasse - Chalon
First we head to Grasse for a visit to a perfume factory. See more of Provence and follow one of France's great panoramic routes, the one Napoleaon took on his return from Elba in 1815. From Grenoble join the expressway to Chalon for overnight in the heart of the wine growing region.
Day 12 SATURDAY
LYON - PARIS: First stop this morning is in Beaune, famed for its medieval hospital and its Bourgogne wine. Tonight we arrive in Paris to see Cabaret Show.
Day 13 SUNDAY
PARIS: Sightseeing today. Notre Dame Cathedral. la Sorbonne, Arc De Triomphe, Opera, Madleine, the Eiffel Tower, The pyramid near the Louvre, the Invalides, and Champs Elysees. Palace and Gardens of Versailles. Rounded out a perfect day with a climb to the second level of the Eiffel Tower, an evening walk along the Scene River to Pont Alexander III bridge and dinner on the Right Bank at Pont de lAlma Bridge to look back at the Eiffel Tower as she sparkled in the evening sky.
Day 14: MONDAY
PARIS: Final day in Paris. Off to the Airport this morning to catch the noon flight to KL and then home.
